Spiritual Turkey: A Journey of the Heart and Soul

Sometimes, you want to do more than just see a country. You want to truly understand it. Therefore, visiting its sacred sites is the best way to connect. Pobeda Travel offered us a “Spiritual Turkey” tour. Ultimately, this experience became one of the most powerful impressions of our entire trip.

The City of Rumi: Konya

Our first stop was Konya, the city of the poet Rumi. Inside the Mevlana Museum, a profound silence filled the air. In fact, even our breathing sounded loud. People stood near the sarcophagus in deep thought or prayer. Meanwhile, our guide quietly shared Rumi’s famous words: “Do not come with empty hands, come with your heart.” At that moment, it felt as though everything around us was about the heart.

Where Religions Meet: Mardin

Next, we traveled to Mardin. This is a city where Islam and Christianity have lived side by side for centuries. We climbed the narrow streets and heard church bells and the call to prayer almost at the same time. Furthermore, we visited the Mor Gabriel Monastery. This is the oldest functioning Syriac Orthodox monastery in the world. Our guide explained that everything here remains in its original form. Additionally, a local monk showed us an ancient Bible written in Aramaic.

Seamless Support from Pobeda Travel

The journey was long, but Pobeda Travel made it effortless. For instance, every transfer was perfectly organized. Our driver was always waiting at the right moment. Moreover, the agency operator stayed in constant contact. They checked our departure times and ensured our comfort throughout the day.

In the evening, we returned to the hotel with the scent of incense and the night breeze in the air. It felt as though we had lived a whole lifetime in just one day. In conclusion, this spiritual route allowed us to find peace and deep meaning in our travels.
