Tour Plan

Day 1 — Welcome to Istanbul Arrival in Istanbul, meeting at the airport

Transfer and hotel check-in. Today we rest after the journey — you can stroll around the neighborhood and soak up the atmosphere of a metropolis on two continents.

Optional: Dinner at a panoramic restaurant overlooking the Bosphorus — a great way to start your journey.

Day 2 — The Splendor of Byzantium and Ottomans Walking tour of Sultanahmet — the heart of historical Istanbul

Tour starts: 9:30–10:00. Lunch will be planned during the tour.

  • Hagia Sophia — a 6th-century Byzantine cathedral, a masterpiece of architecture.

  • German Fountain — a gift from Kaiser Wilhelm II.

  • Sultanahmet Square — the former Hippodrome of Constantinople.

  • Basilica Cistern — an underground reservoir with the head of Medusa.

  • Grand Bazaar — one of the oldest and largest covered markets in the world.

  • Topkapi Palace — the residence of the Sultans for 400 years. Optional evening: Bosphorus Cruise with dinner and a show program.

Day 3 — A City on Two Continents "Heart of Istanbul" tour — the European part of the city

Tour starts: 9:30–10:00. Lunch will be planned during the tour.

  • Taksim Square — the center of modern Istanbul and the start of Istiklal Street.

  • Taksim Mosque — modern architecture surrounded by history.

  • Istiklal Avenue — a pedestrian boulevard with boutiques, cafes, and street musicians.

  • Galata Tower — a Byzantine watchtower with an observation deck.

  • Galata Bridge — a symbol of unity between the two shores of the Golden Horn.

  • Dolmabahçe Palace — a luxurious residence of the last Sultans on the Bosphorus.

Day 4 — Flight to Cappadocia A New World: Between the Rocks and the Clouds

Morning flight to Nevşehir or Kayseri (Flight time will be confirmed after booking).
Transfer and hotel check-in.
Free time — depending on the weather and arrival time, additional walks or tours are possible.

Day 5 — Hot Air Balloons and Northern Cappadocia Balloons, valleys, monasteries, and ancient open-air cities

Optional — Hot air balloon flight at dawn over lunar landscapes. Tour starts at 10:00. Lunch will be planned during the tour.

  • Love Valley — unique rock formations of whimsical shapes.

  • Monks Valley (Pasabag) — a place of seclusion for early Christian communities.

  • Zelve Open-Air Museum — an ancient monastery complex.

  • Avanos — a town of master potters on the banks of the Kızılırmak River.

  • Imagination Valley (Devrent) — rocks resembling silhouettes of animals.

  • Leather Center — a fashion show of high-quality leather goods.

  • Uchisar Castle — the highest point of Cappadocia with panoramic views.

Day 6 — Underground Cities, Canyons, and Farewell Underground complexes, canyons, village lunch, and archaeology

Breakfast at the hotel. Departure for the tour at 10:00. Lunch will be planned during the tour.

  • Underground City — one of the many ancient complexes used as shelters.

  • Soganli Canyon — a secluded region with ancient un-restored churches.

  • Rock-cut Refectory — a unique architectural solution of ancient Christians.

  • Lunch in an Apple Garden — authentic village cuisine in a quiet setting.

  • Sobesos — an archaeological site with Roman mosaics and ruins.

  • Stone Workshop — onyx, tourmaline, and other gemstone crafts.

  • Ortahisar Panorama — a stunning view of the medieval fortress.

  • Turkish coffee with pistachios or brewed on coals. After the tour, transfer to the airport and flight back to Istanbul.
