Day 1 — Welcome to Istanbul
Arrival, Check-in, and Rest in the Ancient Capital
- Arrival & Acclimatization: Meet-and-greet at the airport followed by a private transfer to your hotel.
- Leisure Time: This day is dedicated to resting after your journey. You can take a leisurely stroll through the neighborhood and soak in the city’s unique atmosphere.
- Optional: A welcome dinner can be arranged at a panoramic restaurant with a stunning view of the Bosphorus.
Day 2 — The Majesty of Byzantium and the Ottomans
Sultanahmet Sightseeing Tour
A walking tour through the historical heart of the city, where every step is a journey through time.
- Hagia Sophia: A Byzantine masterpiece and a global symbol of architectural harmony.
- German Fountain: A neo-Byzantine style gift from Kaiser Wilhelm II.
- Sultanahmet Square: The center of ancient Constantinople and the site of the Hippodrome.
- Basilica Cistern: A mysterious underground reservoir featuring the famous Medusa heads.
- Grand Bazaar: One of the world’s oldest and largest covered markets with over 4,000 shops.
- Topkapi Palace: The former residence of Ottoman Sultans and the treasury of the Empire’s secrets.

Day 3 — The City on Two Continents
"Heart of Istanbul" Excursion
Today we explore the European side of Istanbul beyond Sultanahmet, where Ottoman luxury meets modern life and Old World European charm.
- Taksim Square: The heart of modern, secular Turkey.
- Taksim Mosque: A contemporary architectural landmark in a historic setting.
- Istiklal Avenue: A bustling pedestrian street lined with shops, cafes, and street performers.
- Galata Tower: A medieval stone tower offering a 360-degree panorama of the Bosphorus and the Old City.
- Galata Bridge: A symbolic bridge connecting different shores and eras.
- Dolmabahçe Palace: The final and most lavish residence of the Sultans on the Bosphorus waterfront.
Day 4 — Flight to Mardin: An Oriental Fairytale
Journey to Mesopotamia and Introduction to Mardin
- Flight & Transfer: Group gathering and internal flight from Istanbul to Mardin. A private transfer will take you to a boutique hotel in the historic district.
- Atmosphere: Immerse yourself in an Oriental fairytale—flat roofs, terraced architecture, ancient narrow streets, and traditional stone houses.
- Evening: A walk through the old town followed by dinner at a local restaurant (à la carte).
Day 5 — Culture, Faith, and Ancient Tur Abdin
Immersion into Christian and Byzantine Mesopotamia
- Mor Gabriel Monastery: Visit one of the world’s oldest functioning monasteries, founded in 397 AD.
- Ancient Dara: Explore the ruins of this strategic Byzantine city founded by Emperor Anastasius I, including its massive underground cisterns and necropolis.
- Mardin City Tour: A guided walk featuring the Zinciriye and Kasimiye Madrasahs, and the Grand Mosque (Ulu Cami).
- Optional: Visit the Mardin Museum to see its extensive archaeological and ethnographic collections.
- Overnight: Mardin.
Day 6 — Göbekli Tepe, Harran, and Ancestral Secrets
Mardin – Sanliurfa – Göbekli Tepe – Harran
- Göbekli Tepe: Visit the world’s oldest temple complex, dating back approximately 12,000 years.
- Lunch: Enjoy local Mesopotamian cuisine in the center of Sanliurfa.
- Harran: Visit the legendary city of Abraham, famous for its unique ancient “beehive” mud houses and traditional culture.
- Sanliurfa Pilgrimage: Visit the Cave of the Prophet Abraham and the Sacred Fish Pool (Balıklıgöl).
- Leisure: Free time to explore the vibrant local bazaar.
- Overnight: Şanlıurfa.
Day 7 — Mount Nemrut and the Hellenistic Legacy
Sanliurfa – Adıyaman – Mount Nemrut
- Atatürk Dam: A stop at one of the largest hydroelectric projects in Turkey.
- Mount Nemrut: The highlight of the trip—an ascent to the 2,150m summit to see the colossal statues of gods and the mausoleum of King Antiochus I at sunset/sunrise.
- Arsameia: Visit the ancient capital of the Commagene Kingdom.
- Cendere Bridge: Walk across one of the world’s oldest Roman bridges still in use.
- Karakus Tumulus: The royal burial site for the women of the Commagene dynasty.
- Overnight: Adıyaman.
Day 8 — Farewell and New Horizons
- Departure: Breakfast at the hotel followed by a transfer to Adıyaman Airport for your return flight.
- End of Tour.
